I’m a finance professional in the healthcare field. When I started the blog I was working as a commissioning accountant but I regularly move around and am currently heading up the income team for a large NHS Trust.

I’ve worked in many roles and the examples used to illustrate these tutorials will come from patient level costing, project accounting, income reporting, acute commissioning and plain old management accounts.

I am by no means an NHS, commissioning or PbR expert but I am adept at excel and hope to share some of my report writing and data analysis skills. Along the way I will share any NHS informatics knowledge or tips that I pick up as I develop my own career.

I will use healthcare specific examples when creating spreadsheets and pivot tables and hope to increase the confidence and technical skills of Excel users in the NHS and other healthcare industries.
